HVAC

Heating is provided by high-pressure steam supplied by Con Edison that enters the building at the 43rd Street side of the building located in the basement. Incoming heat is stepped down and distributed to cast-iron radiators. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning are provided by thermostats on each floor of the building (8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday) except for holidays. Heat is provided from October 1st through May 28th while air conditioning is provided May 29th through September 24th.

Window blinds should be used to aid in climate control at the property and should be in the closed position during sunny days, over the weekends and during extended absences from the building. Should you experience any problems with climate comfort, please do not hesitate to call building staff at (212) 682-5366.

Radiators mounted along the perimeter wall of your space, directly below the windows, allows for sufficient heat to rise. This heat is controlled by an exterior sensor connected to the building, which automatically raises the water temperature in the heating unit as the outside temperature drops. When the outside temperature increases, the hot water temperature will decrease.
